Analyzing Rhetorically

In the world today there are many pieces of literature that can come from scholarly works, newspapers, blogs and even tweets now. Reading them and understanding what they say is one thing but analyze rhetorically is a whole different thing. When analyzing rhetorically, one must focus on the ideas of logos, pathos, ethos, and kairos. When analyzing using these terms, the reader can get a feel for exactly why the author wrote what he did, how he did it, and the type of audience that he is trying to focus on. Also when analyzing rhetorically, it is necessary to understand the writer is trying to persuade the reader into a certain direction. When you can figure out what direction and why the author is doing it, then the process of analyzing rhetorically has been accomplished.
